Here it is, the trip that has me doing all this. It will be my first multi-day trip on a motorcycle involving camping and seeing sights. The plan is to go in a big circle beginning in Sault Ste. Marie of course, and hitting Ottawa, Montreal, then down to Boston, spend a day or two there, visit Woods Hole (I used to live there) and on the way back stop in Albany (I used to live there too), Niagara Falls (to visit friends, but they don't know about that yet), and Windsor (to visit more friends). We may stop in Rochester, NY along the way too in order to visit other friends and maybe see the Kodak plant. I think that would be very nifty.

The initial plan for this was to chronicle the repairs and changes I'm making to my motorcycle to prepare for a few long trips. I'll outline those changes here and the trip planning as it happens.
It also grew a bit in the design. I have more interests than just motorcycles, so I figured a few of them I'm fairly passionate about can live here too. I've started making wine recently and have always enjoyed a well-brewed beer or finely made scotch, so that's what will live in the Alcohol section. I'm also an amateur baker and will post information and photos of my creations in the Bread section. Finally, I use OpenBSD for everything I can and have made a few minor modifications. Those can live here too.
I'm kind of looking forward to this. It won't be your typical blog full of pontification and teen angst. I'll try to write interesting pieces that might be useful to more than myself (such as how I built saddle bag guards for a 25 year-old motorcycle out of $20 in parts from Canadian Tire).
